Jacquard Gum Arabic is used as a binder medium for a variety of applications. Use with water and Peral Ex Powdered Pigments (or dry pigments) to make your own transparent watercolors, washes, stamping and calligraphy inks. Winsor & Newton Granulation Medium increases the granulation of colour, giving a mottled appearance to colours which usually give a smooth wash (e.g. Winsor Blue), or enhancing the effect of granulating colours (e.g. French Ultramarine). For maximum effect dilute colour generously with medium alone. Always work with painting horizontal.

Winsor & Newton Water Colour Gum Arabic gives you more control when working with water colour paints. This pale coloured solution that controls the spread of wet colour, reduces staining & slows drying. Also increases gloss & transparency. Dilute with water as required.

Winsor & Newton Water Colour Iridescent Medium gives pearlescent or glitter effects to watercolours and is particularly effective when mixed with transparent colours especially over dark backgrounds. Mix with transparent watercolour or apply over a dried wash. Shake well before use.

Winsor & Newton Water Colour Masking Fluid is a pigmented liquid composed of rubber latex and pigment, for masking areas of work needing protection when colour is applied in broad washes. Do not apply on damp or soft sized paper. Remove as soon as possible after application. Brushes can be cleaned if washed immediately with water after use.

This medium contains fine particles that add fine texture and can be used to give the impression of depth and structure to watercolour paintings. Apply directly to paper or mix with watercolour. Shake well before use.
